Terms & Conditions
1. Quotations & Acceptance
All quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
Acceptance may be given in writing, email, or by instructing us to schedule the works. Once accepted, a contract is formed.
Quotations are based on information available at the time and may change if unforeseen issues are discovered after work begins.
2. Scope of Works
Works will be carried out as described in the quotation. Any additional work requested or required due to unforeseen circumstances will be treated as a variation and priced separately.
We will discuss and agree variations with you before proceeding where reasonably possible.
3. Payments
Payment terms will be stated within the quotation. Unless otherwise agreed, payments are typically structured as staged payments reflecting progress of the works.
Failure to make payments when due may result in suspension of work until payment is received.
Materials remain our property until paid for in full.
4. Access & Working Hours
You must provide reasonable access to the property during working hours to allow works to proceed.
We will agree working hours in advance, however some noise and disruption is unavoidable during building works.
5. Unforeseen Work
Building and renovation projects can reveal hidden issues such as structural defects, damp, outdated wiring or plumbing. These cannot always be identified prior to opening up the structure.
Where additional work is required for safety or compliance, we will inform you and agree a revised cost before continuing.
6. Materials
We will supply materials as specified in the quotation unless otherwise agreed. If client-supplied materials are used, we are not responsible for defects, delays or incompatibility.
Colour, texture and finish variations may occur due to natural material differences.
7. Building Regulations & Approvals
Where applicable, works will comply with current building regulations.
Responsibility for planning permission or third-party approvals remains with the client unless otherwise stated in writing.
We may assist with arranging inspections where required.
8. Timescales
Estimated timescales are provided as guidance only. Building works are affected by weather, inspections, material supply and unforeseen structural issues and therefore completion dates cannot be guaranteed.
9. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
Remove or protect personal belongings from work areas
Provide utilities where reasonably required
Inform neighbours if necessary
Keep children and pets away from work areas
10. Completion
Works are considered complete when the agreed scope of work has been finished. Minor cosmetic items may be completed shortly after if necessary.
Final payment becomes due upon completion.
11. Warranty
We provide a workmanship guarantee for a period of 12 months from completion, covering defects arising from installation.
This does not cover:
normal settlement or shrinkage
wear and tear
damage caused by misuse
client supplied materials
Manufacturer warranties apply separately to supplied products.
12. Liability
We hold appropriate public liability insurance. However we are not liable for:
pre-existing defects in the property
delays beyond our control
indirect or consequential losses
13. Cancellation
If works are cancelled after acceptance, reasonable costs for labour, materials and scheduling already incurred may be charged.
Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been ordered.
14. Disputes
We aim to resolve any issues promptly and reasonably. Both parties agree to attempt resolution through discussion before pursuing legal action.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
